Robot at Funeral

A background mourner in one of Futurama's funeral scenes, this robot appears among the crowd of onlookers rather than as a named or recurring figure. It exists to fill out the world's population of sentient machines, reacting to grief the way any other bystander would.

Futurama built its universe out of exactly this kind of throwaway citizen, and Tress MacNeille's voice work is part of why even a single unnamed mourner feels like it belongs to a fully populated world rather than an empty set.
