Robot Ambassador

Robot Ambassador in Futurama (1999), played by Maurice LaMarche.

The Robot Ambassador is exactly what his title promises: a stiff, self-important envoy who shows up whenever robot-kind needs official representation. He speaks in the clipped, faintly condescending tones of a career bureaucrat, more concerned with protocol and robot dignity than with actually being helpful, and treats every encounter with organic life as a tiresome formality to be endured.

Maurice LaMarche gives him the plummy, theatrical gravity of an old-world diplomat, which makes his petty bureaucratic fussiness land as pure comedy rather than menace. The joke is structural: a character built entirely out of officious title and posture, dropped into Futurama's chaos, so that his composure itself becomes the punchline every time he appears.
