Robo-Puppy

Robo-Puppy is exactly what the name promises: a mechanical dog bounding into the frame with tinny barks and jerky, servo-driven enthusiasm. It behaves like a real puppy stripped down to pure eager devotion, chasing, panting, and wagging its metal tail for whoever will pay it attention, a gag about how little affection actually requires.

The joke is the gap between the robot's crude hardware and its utterly convincing puppy behavior, and Billy West sells that gap with yips and whimpers that sound exactly like a real dog stuffed into a toaster. It works because Futurama trusts a single small sight gag to land without explaining itself.
