Robo-Fry

A mechanical double of Fry, built to look and act like him, Robo-Fry turns up as a knockoff version of Futurama's genial dimwit — same slack grin and slouching enthusiasm, just made of metal. He wants to pass as the real thing, more or less, and mostly just blunders through it.

The joke is entirely in the impersonation: Billy West doing his own Fry voice through a tinnier, robotic filter, so the gag depends on how instantly recognizable Fry's cadences are even when stripped of humanity. It's a quick, silly bit of doubling that only works because West's original performance is so distinct.
