Rick K22 is one of the countless alternate-universe Ricks glimpsed in the show's sprawling multiverse, identified by his dimensional designation rather than any distinguishing trait. Like every other Rick, he is a genius, a cynic, and a wildcard — interchangeable at a glance, yet a reminder that the 'real' Rick is just one version among infinite equally miserable geniuses.

The joke of a character like Rick K22 is the joke of the whole Citadel of Ricks concept: that genius, trauma, and nihilism are mass-produced across the multiverse. Voiced by Justin Roiland with the same manic cadence as every Rick, he works precisely because he barely needs to — the show's point is that he's disposable, and that's the horror.
