Richie Aprile

Fresh out of an eleven-year prison stretch, Richie Aprile comes home hungry and impatient, chafing at everyone who's moved up while he was away. He's a throwback to an older, meaner style of gangster, contemptuous of the crew's soft new manners, and he starts pushing on Tony's authority almost immediately, testing how much room he has.

Proval plays him as a live wire with no interest in self-preservation, all simmering grievance and sudden violence, which makes him genuinely unpredictable in a show usually built on procedure and restraint. He's funny and terrifying in the same breath, a man whose menace never quite announces itself before it lands.
