Richard Nixon's Head

A shriveled, disembodied head bobbing in a jar of green fluid, one of many preserved political relics stored at the Head Museum. Introduced as a cranky curiosity from the past, he's petty, conniving, and nakedly hungry for power he no longer has a body to wield, forever aggrieved that history remembers him unkindly.

The joke writes itself but Billy West sells it: that nasal, wheedling Nixon cadence stuffed into a talking jar, equal parts self-pity and scheming ambition. The show never lets him forget he's a head, and he never lets the show forget he still wants to run things. Absurd premise, perfectly committed voice work.
