Regina Bligh is a wealthy widow living in Australia. When she was a young woman, she fell in love with George Bligh, but had to stand by while he married her sister Elaine. Over the next couple of decades, her unrequited love for him developed into an obsession. Regina’s first marriage was to Charles Standish, a man she married in order to promote his diplomatic career.
