Raymond Galt

Raymond Galt turns up in Richard Roper's orbit as one of the technical men behind the arms deal, the sort of quietly capable expert who explains the terrible machinery on offer with the flat enthusiasm of someone discussing spreadsheets rather than weapons. He is polite, exact, and entirely unbothered by what his expertise is for.

Jonathan Aris plays him with a dry, buttoned-up precision that makes the character's amorality land harder than shouting ever could — he's the human face of the deal's logistics, and the gap between his mild manner and the horror he's enabling is exactly the point. A small role that sharpens the show's larger rot.
