Raymond

Raymond turns up as an unassuming, oddly cheerful presence orbiting the world of assassins and handlers that Killing Eve keeps circling back to. He talks easily, seems harmless enough over a drink or a chat, and yet clearly answers to something larger and more organised than he lets on.

Adrian Scarborough plays him with a genial, unbothered warmth that never quite squares with the company he keeps, and that mismatch is the joke and the menace at once. The show trades on people who aren't what they seem, and Raymond's chattiness makes you lean in rather than recoil, which is exactly the trick.
