Ratman

Ratman is a minor face in the crowded, throwaway world of Futurama's 31st century, one of the countless odd background citizens who pop up for a scene or a gag rather than a season. He exists mostly as texture — a quick, strange presence in New New York rather than someone the plot lingers on.

Billy West's genius on this show is exactly this kind of role: a single voice actor filling out the margins so thoroughly that even a blink-and-miss-him character like Ratman feels like a fully imagined person. It's a small pleasure that rewards rewatching, spotting how much personality gets packed into so little screen time.
