Raoul

Raoul is one of the many odd faces that drift through the fringes of New New York, a small figure in the vast, absurd universe of Futurama rather than a driver of its plots. He turns up, does something strange or funny, and moves on, part of the show's endless gallery of background weirdos.

The character works because Maurice LaMarche, a voice actor capable of booming gravitas and cartoonish nonsense alike, brings a full comic commitment to even the smallest role. Futurama thrives on these throwaway oddballs, and LaMarche's elastic delivery makes Raoul memorable in a handful of lines rather than forgettable filler.
