Ralph Cifaretto

A soldier climbing toward captain in Tony's crew, Ralph is a moneymaker with a taste for cruelty he barely bothers to hide. Quick with a joke, quicker to take offense, he mixes real charm with a streak of casual violence that unsettles even his fellow gangsters. He wants respect and the promotions that come with it.

Pantoliano plays him as a live wire — funny, needy, terrifying, sometimes within the same breath, so you're never sure which Ralph you're getting. The show uses him to test how much menace and misogyny the audience will tolerate before Tony's world stops looking fun and starts looking rotten.
