Race Announcer

The Race Announcer is exactly what the title says: a local voice booming over the PA at whatever competition Arlen has gathered to watch, keeping the crowd hyped and the action narrated. He's a fixture of small-town spectacle rather than a character with his own story, present to move the scene along.

Johnny Hardwick, already the voice of Dale Gribble elsewhere in the show, brings the same dry comic timing to this bit part, turning a functional announcer into another flash of Arlen's texture. It's a small role, but it fits the show's habit of making even its background voices sound like real townsfolk.
