Pubes turns up uninvited, a small mustachioed creature who announces the arrival of body hair with the swagger of a party guest who was never on the list. He's proud, a little gross, and thrilled about his own existence, treating puberty's least dignified milestone like a triumph worth celebrating.

The joke is entirely in the commitment: Nick Kroll plays this literal pube with the confidence of a leading man, all preening and bravado over something inherently embarrassing. It's a tiny, disposable bit part, but the show's willingness to give a stray hair a full personality is exactly the kind of gleeful, specific grossness that makes Big Mouth work.
