A face in the crowd, sign in hand, shouting whatever slogan the moment calls for. Futurama pulls protestors out of its background cast whenever the plot needs someone outraged about robots, corporations, or the future's latest absurd controversy — this is one of them, righteous and replaceable.

Tress MacNeille's gift is disappearing into these throwaway roles, giving a nameless placard-carrier just enough conviction to land a joke before vanishing. It's a small piece of what makes Futurama's crowds feel alive: every extra sounds like they believe in their one line completely.
