Prospector

A grizzled, wild-eyed old-timer straight out of a gold rush cartoon, the Prospector turns up now and again muttering about claims, varmints, and treasure nobody else can see. He talks in creaky frontier slang, waves his fists at newfangled technology, and treats the future like an insult to his prospecting days.

He is a pure sight gag with a voice to match — David Herman leans into the cracked, sun-baked drawl so hard that a single line of nonsense muttering becomes funnier than most sitcoms manage in a whole scene. Futurama loves stock characters skewed sideways, and the Prospector is that trick distilled to its silliest, most gleeful essence.
