Princess Num Num

Princess Num Num is jungle royalty, presented to Zapp Brannigan as a bride whose hand comes conveniently attached to her planet's resources. She plays the part expected of her — sweet, decorative, easily impressed — while the arrangement around her is really about conquest dressed up as romance.

The joke is Zapp's, not hers: he's oblivious that the marriage is a swindle, and Num Num's cheerful compliance lets the satire of colonial hand-waving run without her ever seeming stupid. Lauren Tom gives her just enough knowing lightness that you suspect she understands the game better than the groom does.
