Pogo

Pogo is the Hargreeves family's butler and closest confidant, a chimpanzee raised to near-human sophistication by the mysterious Reginald Hargreeves. Impeccably dressed and softly spoken, he manages the household and keeps its many secrets, offering the scattered siblings a steadying, grandfatherly presence when almost no one else in their lives does.

The premise could easily tip into gimmick, but Adam Godley's performance capture gives Pogo real weight — a weary formality, a diplomat's patience, eyes that suggest he's absorbed decades of a cruel household's compromises. He works because the show treats his strangeness as ordinary, letting dignity and sorrow sit quietly beneath the absurdity.
