Planet Express Computer

The Planet Express Computer runs the delivery company's ship systems with brisk, matter-of-fact competence, answering crew questions and executing commands without much fuss. It's a background presence at first, part of the furniture of the office and the ship, dutifully informing the crew of hull breaches, malfunctions, or whatever crisis is currently unfolding.

Tress MacNeille gives the computer a flat, faintly bored delivery that turns routine exposition into deadpan comedy, especially when the news it's relaying is alarming and its tone stays exactly the same. It's a small joke engine tucked into the show's machinery, reliable for a laugh precisely because it never asks for one.
