Character
Pips Lüders
Pips Lüders in Das Boot (2018), played by Pit Bukowski.
Pips is involved in killing fellow crew member Lutz Ritzenhoff, to ensure he won't give away the mutiny during which Wrangel took the command from Klaus Hoffmann. During the next ride ("Feindfahrt") of U-612, the guilt haunts him severely. He hallucinates seeing Lutz, and eventually commits suicide by shooting a flare gun into his mouth.
