Pete Twist

Pete Twist is one of the kids who moves with his dad and siblings into a strange old lighthouse on the Australian coast. Cheeky and easily excitable, he's the one most likely to go looking for trouble, poking around the house's odder corners with a mix of nerve and nervousness.

Rian McLean plays Pete with the exact right pitch of childhood bravado cut with genuine fright, which suits a show that treats ghosts and gross-out gags with the same straight face. He's an easy stand-in for the young viewer: curious enough to open the door, scared enough to make it fun.
