Penge presides over the servants' hall at Buckingham Palace with the fussy authority of a man who has spent decades learning exactly where everyone ranks. As Page of the Backstairs, he polices protocol below stairs as fiercely as any courtier polices it above, prizing order, deference and his own standing.

Adrian Schiller plays him with a dry, pinched precision that turns household hierarchy into its own small comedy of manners. Penge could easily be a stock stickler, but the performance finds real feeling under the starch — a servant's pride in service, and the sting of being reminded how replaceable he is.
