Peaches

Peaches turns up as one of the countless odd, one-scene faces that populate Futurama's future New New York — a small, sweetly named presence dropped into the show's parade of aliens, robots and mutants. Little is asked of them beyond a line or two, delivered with the show's usual deadpan absurdity.

The fun here is Maurice LaMarche himself, an actor who can drop a fully formed voice into a single throwaway line and make it land. Futurama thrives on exactly this kind of background texture, and a performer capable of instant, funny specificity is what makes even its smallest characters worth a laugh.
