Pay 'n' Chew Robot

The Pay 'n' Chew Robot is a fixture of the greasy little fast-food joint that pops up in the margins of New New York life, dispensing food and forced cheer to whichever Planet Express crew member has wandered in hungry. It exists to sell, to smile, and to keep the line moving.

Maurice LaMarche gives it that same booming, hucksterish confidence he brings to half the show's incidental robots, turning a one-scene fast-food drone into a tiny blast of absurdity. It never needs more than a line or two — the joke is how much personality gets crammed into something so disposable.
