Paul Joseph Pfeiffer

Paul is Kevin Arnold's best friend since childhood, the bookish, allergy-prone sidekick who follows him through the everyday battles of growing up in the late 1960s. He's cautious where Kevin is impulsive, anxious about rules and consequences, but fiercely loyal, always turning up for whatever scheme or heartbreak the week brings.

He's the steady counterweight to Kevin's restlessness, the friend whose nervousness and decency make him funny without ever making him a joke. Josh Saviano plays him with a wry, unshowy naturalism, so Paul feels like an actual kid you knew — awkward, smart, and quietly essential to the show's warmth.
