Paul "Jesus" Rovia

Paul "Jesus" Rovia turns up as a shadow in the dark, an uncannily skilled stranger who outmaneuvers Rick's group before they even know he's there. Charming and evasive in equal measure, he claims to represent a settlement called Hilltop, offering trade and alliance while giving away as little about himself as possible.

Tom Payne plays him with a martial-arts fluidity that makes every fight scene a small surprise, but the real hook is his unreadability — is he friend, con man, or scout? The show lets him stay a cipher just long enough that his eventual openness feels earned rather than convenient.
