Pa'u Zotoh Zhaan

Zhaan is a Delvian priestess and one of the escaped prisoners aboard Moya, a striking blue-skinned plant humanoid who carries herself with serenity and moral weight. She's spiritual, wise, and often the crew's conscience, offering counsel and healing—yet there are hints of a fierce, even violent past she keeps carefully composed beneath the calm.

Virginia Hey plays Zhaan with a stillness that makes her presence feel ancient, but the writing keeps undercutting the serenity with flashes of temper, sensuality, and guilt, so she never settles into simple guru territory. The tension between the peace she preaches and the passions she's clearly capable of gives every quiet scene an undertow.
