When chaos starts creeping in outside the studio, his first instinct isn't fear — it's whether it'll boost the numbers.

Andy Nyman plays him as a recognisable species of television monster before the actual monsters show up, all bluster and self-interest, so that the satire lands before the horror does. It's a nasty, funny performance that makes the eventual carnage feel like poetic justice already half-earned.
