Parrot turns up in the wild tangle of hallucinations, hormone monsters, and talking objects that make up the kids' inner lives on Big Mouth, dispensing blunt, off-kilter commentary on whatever mess is unfolding. Brash and unbothered by decorum, Parrot says the thing everyone else is too embarrassed to say out loud.

Maya Rudolph brings the same gleeful, unpredictable energy she's known for to a character built entirely out of vocal texture and comic timing. The writing hands her absurd, filthy, and weirdly tender lines, and she finds the exact pitch of chaos that makes a strange little creature feel like the smartest voice in the room.
