Paparazza

Paparazza is exactly what her name promises: a tabloid photographer prowling New New York for scandal, camera ready the instant anything embarrassing happens to anyone famous. She pops up at exactly the wrong moment for whoever's involved, flashbulb popping, already shouting a question before the disaster has even finished happening.

She's a sight gag with a job description, and Tress MacNeille gives her just enough nasal, gleeful bite that a two-line cameo lands like a punchline in itself. Futurama is full of these background specialists, and Paparazza is a sharp little reminder that the show's world feels lived-in precisely because of them.
