Padan Fain

Padan Fain arrives in Emond's Field as he always does — a peddler with news, gossip, and gadgets from the wider world, welcomed by villagers who see him only a few times a year. He's affable, chatty, a little strange around the edges, and always seems to know more than he lets on.

Johann Myers plays him with a grin that never quite settles, turning small-town hospitality into something faintly wrong before anything is confirmed. The show uses him as a barometer — his unease about Emond's Field tells you the danger is real before the plot does, and Myers makes that dread feel personal rather than expository.
