PA System

Originally just the intercom on a spaceship, PA System is startled into consciousness during one of the family's more chaotic escapades. Once he can think and feel, he quickly becomes attached to being alive, developing opinions, anxieties, and a strange new fondness for the people around him.

There's something absurdly touching about a background object suddenly demanding personhood, and Roiland leans into that with a voice full of nervous, newly-hatched wonder. The joke is broad, but the show keeps finding real pathos in an accidental life clinging to itself.
