Oscar Martinez

Oscar Martinez is the Dunder Mifflin accountant with the raised eyebrow — sharp, gay, out at work in a Scranton office that doesn't always know what to do with that, and the one most likely to correct Michael Scott's grammar or geography. He wants competence around him and mostly doesn't get it.

Oscar works because he's the sane man in the corner who occasionally reveals he's not so sane after all — the show lets his exasperation curdle into pettiness and vanity under pressure. Oscar Nuñez plays the deadpan beautifully, but the real pleasure is watching his composure crack exactly when it shouldn't.
