Omiko Hakodate

Omiko Hakodate exists on the edges of Honnouji Academy's rigid, uniform-obsessed order, one of the many students whose place in the school's brutal hierarchy is defined by the rank of the Goku uniform they're allowed to wear. She moves through the chaos of Satsuki Kiryuin's rule doing what the system asks of her.

Kill la Kill thrives on throwing outsized energy at even its smallest players, and Chiaki Takahashi's voice work gives Omiko a flicker of personality inside a school built on conformity. She's a small piece of a very loud show, but the series never treats its background students as filler — everyone gets a beat of absurd, committed intensity.
