Ole Munch

Ole Munch arrives in Fargo's fifth season as a debt collector hired for dirty work, speaking in strange, formal cadences that suggest he's stepped out of another century entirely. He is patient, precise, and utterly without hurry, treating violence as a matter of principle rather than passion.

Sam Spruell plays him with a stillness that makes every scene tighten — no rush, no raised voice, just an unnerving certainty about his own rules. The writing gives him a private, almost Biblical logic about debts and honor, and Spruell delivers it so plainly that the strangeness never tips into camp. He's genuinely eerie without a single special effect.
