Old Man in Queue

An unnamed elderly gentleman glimpsed standing in line somewhere in New New York, the kind of incidental face Futurama likes to populate its crowds with. He grumbles, waits, and exists mostly to fill out the world's background noise with one more weary, put-upon voice.

Futurama's throwaway bit players are half the show's charm, and Billy West's gift for cranky, textured character voices means even a nameless man in a queue gets a distinct grumble and cadence. It's a small joke about how fully populated this universe is, and West sells it without breaking a sweat.
