Nynaeve al'Meara

Nynaeve al'Meara is the Wisdom of Emond's Field, the village healer and herb-woman, though she's younger than the role usually allows. She's fiercely protective of the young people she's tended since childhood, quick-tempered, stubborn, and unwilling to trust strangers — especially the Aes Sedai who arrives claiming the world needs her charges for something enormous.

She's introduced as an authority figure forced to become a student, and the show gets real mileage from her refusal to soften that indignity. Zoë Robins plays her anger as competence under threat rather than simple hostility, so even her worst outbursts read as someone fighting to protect people she loves on her own terms.
