Nui Harime

Nui Harime is one of Satsuki Kiryuin's Elite Four, a fashion designer for the student council whose sugary, sing-song manner sits oddly beside the casual cruelty she brings to a fight. She giggles, poses, licks her fingers, and treats violence like play, and she's clearly delighted whenever Ryuko Matoi gives her a real challenge.

Yukari Tamura plays her in a chirpy, childlike register that never once wavers no matter how vicious the moment gets, and that mismatch is the whole joke and the whole horror at once. She's funny until she suddenly isn't, and the show never tips its hand about which mode is coming next.
