Nomi Segal

Nomi Segal is one of Zoey's tight-knit circle at Cal U, a freshman with no filter and a habit of saying the loudest, most unguarded thing in any room. She's openly bisexual, quick with a joke at her own expense, and determined to figure out college life without pretending to have it together.

Emily Arlook plays Nomi's oversharing as genuine rather than grating, so the character's awkwardness becomes charm instead of shtick. The writing lets her be the group's comic engine without reducing her to one joke, giving her real anxieties underneath the punchlines that make her feel like an actual overwhelmed nineteen-year-old.
