Nina Sergeevna Krilova

Nina works a clerical job at the Soviet embassy in Washington, skimming money on the side, when an affair with FBI agent Stan Beeman turns into something far more dangerous. She is quick, watchful, and endlessly adaptable, reading whichever man is in front of her and telling him exactly what he needs to hear.

Annet Mahendru plays her as a survivor first and everything else second, which makes her impossible to pin down — informant, patriot, lover, liar, sometimes all at once in the same scene. The show never lets you settle on which Nina is real, and Mahendru's face gives away just enough to keep you guessing without ever confirming it.
