Nicholas Brody

Nicholas Brody comes home a Marine sergeant presumed dead for eight years, rescued from captivity and hailed as a hero. He returns to a wife and children who have rebuilt their lives without him, awkward and watchful in his own house, while a CIA analyst becomes convinced something about his homecoming isn't what it seems.

Damian Lewis plays Brody as a man reassembling a self in real time, every domestic scene shadowed by things he isn't saying. The show gives him a genuine hero's welcome and then never lets the audience feel safe inside it, and Lewis's stillness — polite, careful, faintly haunted — makes you lean in rather than look away.
