Nibblonian #2

Nibblonian #2 is one of the small, ancient, big-eyed beings glimpsed among Nibbler's secretive kind, part of the shadowy council entrusted with guarding the universe's deepest cosmic secrets. Introduced without fanfare, it exists mostly to fill out the ranks of this mysterious species, speaking up when the plot needs another voice from the hive of tiny overlords.

The joke of a character like this is scale: an ancient, universe-guarding species reduced to background extras with numbered names, voiced with the same deadpan gravity as any main player. David Herman's delivery treats the absurdity completely straight, which is exactly the deadpan Futurama style that makes even its throwaway aliens land a laugh.
