Neil Schweiber

Neil is one of Sam Weir's two best friends, a freshman at McKinley who survives high school on jokes, sarcasm, and a note-perfect Bill Cosby impression. His family runs a local furniture store whose commercials are a running source of both pride and embarrassment. Quick-witted and a little cynical, he uses comedy to deflect anything uncomfortable.

Samm Levine plays Neil's humor as armor rather than confidence, and the show lets that crack just enough to hint at real anxiety underneath the one-liners. The Cosby bit could be a cheap running gag, but Levine's commitment and timing make it feel like a specific kid's coping mechanism rather than a writer's tic.
