Neanderthal Chief

The Neanderthal Chief presides over a tribe of prehistoric holdouts somewhere in Futurama's twisted future, carrying himself with the gruff authority of a leader who expects to be obeyed. He is blunt, territorial, and utterly unbothered by how absurd his situation looks to outsiders passing through.

He is a small, throwaway joke elevated by Phil LaMarr's gift for instant, fully committed characterization — a booming, self-serious voice dropped into one scene and gone, funnier for how little the show explains him. It's the kind of blink-and-you-miss-it bit that rewards rewatching.
