Nd-Nd

Nd-Nd is a fellow decapodian brought into Zoidberg's orbit on his home world, presented to him as a prospective bride by tradition and family arrangement. She is practical and unsentimental about the match, weighing status and prospects with a directness that leaves little room for romance as Zoidberg understands it.

The joke is entirely in the mismatch: decapodian courtship is transactional and grim while Zoidberg is a hopeless softy, and Nd-Nd plays it dead straight. Tress MacNeille gives her a flat, businesslike delivery that makes the alien culture funnier by refusing to sell it as funny, letting the absurdity land on its own.
