Nazi #1

A background heavy in one of Futurama's odder detours into the past, Nazi #1 is exactly the kind of stock antagonist the show likes to drop its heroes in front of — humorless, uniformed, and there mainly to be baffled or outwitted by whichever time-traveling idiot has wandered into frame.

The joke is entirely in the flatness: Maurice LaMarche plays the part with a stiff, self-serious bark that never winks at the audience, which is what makes the surrounding absurdity land. It's a small, functional bit of voice acting — precise rather than showy, doing exactly what one scene needs and nothing more.
