Nathan Shelley

Nathan is the timid kit man for AFC Richmond, the sort of person who apologizes for taking up space and flinches when addressed directly. He hovers at the edge of the coaching staff, full of tactical ideas he's too frightened to voice, desperate to be noticed and just as desperate not to be.

Mohammed plays the stammer and the darting eyes so precisely that Nathan's small moments of being seen land like triumphs. The show uses him to test its own thesis about kindness changing people, and his early scenes work because you're rooting so hard for someone this visibly starved of confidence.
