Mumbos

Mumbos slips through the margins of Planet Express business, a background face in the sprawling future-New-New-York the show delights in filling out. Like much of Futurama's population, he exists mostly to make the world feel dense and lived-in rather than to drive the plot himself.

Futurama's gift is treating even its smallest players with a specific voice and a flash of personality, and David Herman's vocal work gives Mumbos the same deadpan comic texture he brings elsewhere in the show. It's the kind of minor character that rewards attentive rewatching.
