Mrs. Mellonger

Mrs. Mellonger is one of the crabby, put-upon fixtures of New New York life — an elderly neighbor or tenant type who turns up to grumble, scold, or object to whatever chaos is unfolding around Fry, Leela, and Bender. She wants peace and quiet and rarely gets it.

She's the kind of one-scene irritant that makes Futurama's world feel lived-in rather than just gag-driven. Tress MacNeille, doing what she does best in background voices, gives her a weary, nasal exasperation that lands a laugh without needing more than a line or two.
